Refund Policy

Lessons and Activities
Private Lessons

You will be required to pay the full amount when booking via the invoice that is emailed to you.

If you cancel the lesson 24 hours or more in advance due to sickness, injury, work commitments etc, we will reschedule your private lesson

If you cancel within 24 hours until your lesson start time, no refund or makeup is offered
-
If we cancel due to poor conditions, then a make-up lesson will be offered
-

HOLIDAY GROUP LESSONS & SURF CAMPS T & C's
-
You will be required to pay the full amount when booking online

If you cancel the lesson 24 hours or more in advance due to sickness, injury, work commitments etc, Sal will attempt to fill the spot and can then offer you a makeup date

If it does not fill, then you will lose the entire amount

If you cancel within 24 hours until your lesson start time, no refund or make up is offered

If we cancel due to poor conditions then a make up lesson will be offered or a refund if the make up time does not suit
-

Term Program T & C's

You will be required to pay the full amount when booking online

There are no makeup lessons or refunds offered if you miss a week.

Instead, you may send a friend, relative etc OR you can also offer your spot up on our private Facebook communication page and someone can pay you for the one-off lesson directly

If you book in and cancel you spot in the program less, then 24 hours before the program starts you will only be refunded $255 ($50 cancellation fee will be kept)

If you pull out midterm due to changing circumstances, Sal will attempt to fill your spot and offer you a partial refund if it fills. No refund will be offered if it does not fill.

For our 6-week programs you must keep 8 consecutive weeks free to allow for makeup lessons if we have to postpone due to conditions

For our 8-week programs you must keep 10 consecutive weeks free to allow for makeup lessons if we have to postpone due to conditions
Surf Trip T & C’s

You will be required to pay a $500 nonrefundable deposit via bank transfer or Paypal to secure your spot

60 days prior to your trip, the remaining balance will need to be paid via bank transfer or Paypal which is
also nonrefundable -
If you can no longer make the trip, you will lose your $500 deposit if you cancel more than 60 days before the trip start time.

If you pull out within 60 days of the trip and have paid your remaining balance, then Sal will attempt to fill your spot so she can refund you the remaining balance (your deposit will still be lost). Filling a spot is not always guaranteed and if it was not filled you would lose the entire amount.

If surf conditions became unsafe during the surf trip, replacement activities would occur such as surf theory, surf skate lessons or other recreational activities in the area we are visiting
URBN SURF T & C's
-
You will be required to pay in full to secure your spot. You can pay online via Paypal OR contact Sal to book you in and then you can pay via Bank Transfer.

If you can no longer make the day trip due to sickness, injury, work, family commitments etc, you will lose the entire amount.

However, Sal will attempt to fill your spot. If it is filled 5 days or more before the day trip, then you will only be charged a $50 cancellation and name transfer fee. If you pull out within 5 days, your spot can not be filled as URBN surf does not allow name changes within 5 days. There are no guarantees your spot will be filled if you pull out. Sal has paid upfront to URBN surf to secure these private bookings which are difficult to book.
Other T & C’s regarding Credits/Refunds:
Clients will obtain a credit when:
-
the instructor cancels the activity due to unsuitable or dangerous conditions.
-
no refund will be offered if it rains.
-
No credit or make up lesson is offered if a client does not turn up to their scheduled lesson.

A refund will only occur if the surf school cancels a lesson and then then the client can not find a suitable make up lesson date or time being offered.
If water and weathers conditions become unsafe during the activity, the instructor may modify the activity and undertake activities on the shore rather than in the water, or may offer a surf skate lesson on land, or the activity may be rescheduled for another time.
If the client has paid for a block of lessons at a discounted price, the refund will be based on the lessons already delivered at the undiscounted lesson price less the total amount paid.
No refund is offered if the client refuses to comply with the ASI Accredited School policy and the instructor determines the client cannot participate in the activity.
If the client advises the instructor of a medical condition prior to the lesson/program commencing such that the Instructor decides, that it would be unsafe for the client to participate in the activity, a full refund will be offered.
If the Instructor becomes aware of a client’s medical condition after the lesson has commenced, such that the instructor determines it is unsafe for the client to continue in the activity, no refund will be offered.
Covid/Sickness

No refunds will be offered if you contact COVID19 and cannot attend your lesson. This is out of the surf school control, and we would not have time to fill the spot that was booked.

If by chance, there was another client wanting the spot then we would offer a refund or a makeup lesson.
Product Purchase
Up to 30 days from date of purchase the client can:
-
obtain a 100% refund for products purchased should they be damaged or faulty. Customer to check for damage or faults before purchasing.

exchange for products that are unsuitable.
-
No refund on products purchased that the customer has damaged themselves.
